Director Autumn Pearson Attends ABEN Conference in Philadelphia

Last week, our fearless leader, Director Autumn Pearson, had the privilege of attending the ABEN (Artist Built Environment Network) Conference in Philadelphia, hosted at The Magic Gardens, an expansive and inspiring urban art environment.

This annual gathering brings together art environment leaders from across the U.S. and around the world to share ideas, discuss best practices, and explore innovations in

preservation and creative community building.

Autumn was delighted to represent SHAMc and present our dynamic art environment through a PechaKucha presentation, 20 slides, each paired with 20 seconds of spoken text. In true SHAMc fashion, she recited her entire talk in limerick, a playful and poetic nod to our community’s signature whimzey and magic.

Her takeaways from the conference were deeply positive, not only reaffirming SHAMc’s organizational impact, but also celebrating the strength of our team, community involvement, and educational programs.

We’re so proud of Autumn for continually seeking new and innovative ways to promote SHAMc, celebrate art environments, and build creative connections near and far.
