WhimzeyLand: The Home That Started It All
1206 3rd St N, Safety Harbor, FL 34695
WhimzeyLand is the brightly painted, joyfully over-the-top home of SHAMc’s founders, Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda. Long before SHAMc was built, their house in Safety Harbor became a living work of art—an explosion of color, creativity, and whimzical spirit that would inspire everything to come. Known affectionately as the Bowling Ball House for the hundreds of hand-painted bowling balls that line the yard, WhimzeyLand has grown over the decades into a full-scale art environment that welcomes curious visitors from all over the world.
Every inch of the property is transformed: mosaic walkways, bottle trees, sculptures, glittering installations, and the ever-expanding bowling ball collection turn the house into a kaleidoscope of artistic expression. What began as a personal passion project quickly became a community landmark—a playful, open invitation to experience art not just on walls, but in every corner of daily life.
WhimzeyLand is more than a house. It is the seed from which SHAMc grew. Todd and Kiaralinda’s vision for a place where art and community meet took root here, and today their home continues to embody the heart of SHAMc’s mission: to inspire, connect, and delight through creativity. Visitors are welcome to walk the grounds, take photos, and feel the magic that started it all—just a few blocks away from the art center it helped inspire.
