A former newspaper columnist, Walt Belcher tells stories as performance art at festivals, open mics, libraries, museums, retirement homes and to anyone who will listen. In addition to hosting a story night at SHAMC, he is a regular at the Florida Folk Festival, the Florida Storytelling Festival, story festivals in South Carolina and Georgia.

Author of “Scallywag of the Scrubs” a book of amusing Florida cowboy poetry, he is currently the state’s Champion Liar.
