Amanda Wilshire is a ceramics and diorama artist based in Clearwater, FL. She began her artistic journey in her 20s, taking her first art classes in college, where she fell in love with clay. Since then, she has worked with the medium on and off, continually drawn to its versatility and tactile appeal. As a child, Her passion for diorama art was sparked by a visit to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, where the large, immersive displays—such as rooms depicting cavemen—captured her imagination. Amanda later began collecting antique Florida postcards and scouring flea markets and yard sales for objects that complemented the same nostalgic themes. One of her most revisited and beloved concepts has been her “Gone Fishin’” series, which she has explored many times over the years.
