9am-10am - week 1 and 2 spanish language
week 3 and 4-mystery activity
10am-3pm regular activities
bring a bagged lunch and plenty of water also cool comfortable clothing that can get messy!!
2022 Summer Camp Dates
June 6-10, 2022-Creative Writing Camp with Laura Kepner
Do you have a wild imagination? Are you a kid who makes up adventures without ever leaving your house? Learn how to create amazing worlds, believable characters, surprising plots and solve the world's most intriguing mysteries. We'll work on short stories, poetry, zines, and more. This camp will make writing fun and all kids are welcome, even if writing isn't your best subject. Supplies will be provided. Please bring water to drink and a bag lunch.
On Friday will we do a short performance of works created during the week, please bring friends and family for this event. (Note: We have a job for everyone, even those who don’t like to perform.)

June 13-17, 2022- Cardboard/ Mixed Media Camp with Beth Warmath
Award winning artist, Beth Warmath will lead the class in hand building super funky art using cardboard and mix media. We will work individually and collaboratively on projects using different textures of cardboard. Students will use their imagination to build anything they can dream up. We will work on daily projects and a gallery project. All materials will be provided.
June 20-24, 2022-Recycled Art Camp with Autumn Pearson
Spend a week turning “trash” into “treasures!” In this week long session students will learn about the importance of recycling and being good stewards of the land, while creating magnificent works of art! Utilizing everyday items that are discarded or thrown away, such as: aluminum cans, bottle tops, old cloths, newspapers and more, participants will engage in making quality individual art pieces and group projects that showcase how trash can be transformed into art. Sign-up for this unique experience, you will never look at trash the same again!
June 27-July1, 2022- Fine Art Camp with Autumn Pearson
What to be an explorer? An “Art Explorer?” Join this week long camp and explore the many aspects of “Fine Arts.” Student will have in-depth experiences in learning about and practicing in the fine arts of: drawing, painting, textiles and sculpture. Student will have the opportunity to learn the elements and principles of design, study famous artists and experience these various techniques for themselves. This is a great session to try your hand at many art forms and create masterpieces for yourself!

Who can I contact in case of emergency?
In case of emergency, you can call Heather Richardson, Camp Director. Her contact information is 727-424-2576.
What if a camp is full? Can I still register?
If a camp is full, we will begin a waiting list on a first-come-first-serve basis. If a camper registered for the full camp cancels their registration, we will contact the waiting list one at a time.
What time is drop off and pick up?
Drop off begins at 845 am and ends at 9:00 am. please try to be on time or call if running late !(727-424-2576)
Pick up begins at 3 pm and ends at 3:15 pm.
Can I register my child for just a few days of a camp?
Unfortunately, this is not an option at this time. We would suggest registering your child for the full camp and letting us know of which day(s) your child will not be attending.
What will I need to provide for my child during camp?
Parents are in charge of providing lunches and water. We ask that all campers bring a refillable bottle for water. SHAMcamps are peanut-free. For the safety of other children, please do not pack peanut products.
What forms do I need to complete for camp?
We require a release form for liability and allowing your child to walk around Safety Harbor (with supervision, of course). We also ask for a photo release form, though we understand if you do not want us to use your child's likeness for promotional reasons. We will have you sign a release form the first day of camp

SHAMc 706 2nd Street North Safety Harbor. There is parking available on the street. Parents are required to come to the art center to sign their children in and out daily.
