Deborah Para Butterfield
June 2, 1951 - April 10, 2022
Deborah Para Butterfield spent many days making mosaics at SHAMC. She was in her happy place creating art! Her family is grateful to support art and music in her honor.
As a lifelong businesswoman and artist, Debbie’s legacy empowered so many people to think outside the box, live their dream, and harness their creativity. Debbie majored in art in college and brought many artistic pieces, sewn costumes, blown glass, and countless memorable works of art into the world. She even taught her grandchildren how to sew and they made many Halloween costumes together! She was in her happy place creating art and supporting her family. Additionally, Debbie always came to see her daughter / local singer-songwriter, Laura Stack, and local professional vocalist, Gloria Rice, perform many shows at SHAMC. She was often seen in the front row with enthusiastic support for her favorite musicians, swimmers, and speakers... basically anywhere her children or grandchildren were featured!
Debbie and her husband, Larry Butterfield - the recent owner of Kilwin's Fudge and Ice Cream, donated many Kilwin's buckets and various items for art projects and storage. Furthermore, Debbie often had a random pile of donations in the house to take to SHAMC to support this artistic venue. Debbie majored in art in college and brought many artistic pieces, sewn costumes, blown glass, and countless memorable works of art into the world.
Her family recently had the privilege of celebrating her memory by creating special mosaics in her honor. The world shines brighter because of Debbie Butterfield. She will be with us in spirit supporting art, music, and creativity!
BUTTERFIELD, Deborah Para 70, of Madeira Beach, FL passed away peacefully on April 10, 2022 with her husband and daughter by her side. The world shines brighter because of Debbie Butterfield. Debbie’s warm and vibrant personality lit up the room. Her loud, buoyant laughter bounced off the walls and brought joy to everyone around her. Furthermore, her tender love and care simply made everything better.
On earth and in heaven, Debbie loves in a way that makes one feel like the most important person in the world. She is a Polish Goddess, artist, mother, wife, sister, daughter, Nana, and friend to anyone that crosses her path. Some of her many loved ones include husband, Larry Butterfield; children, Tracy Alvarez, Mike Stack, and Laura Stack; extended family, Juan Alvarez, Kori Stack, and Gloria Rice; and grandchildren, Kate Stack, Keelan Stack, Emma Stack, Pilar Alvarez, Lucas Stack, and Siena Alvarez.
Debbie was the President of BB Graphics, Membership Chairman for the Chamber of Commerce, Membership Director at Costco, master planner for countless events and fundraisers, artist extraordinaire, and she helped her husband/owner run Kilwin’s Fudge and Ice Cream in Madeira Beach.
We know she will be with us in spirit supporting art, music, and creativity. “From the heavens to the sea, where you look is where I’ll be. Sending tender love and care, hearing all your thoughtful prayers. We are in each other’s hearts and will never be apart. From the heavens to the sea, where you look is where I’ll be.”
