When Lourdes Was Big by LAURA KEPNER
Safety Harbor Art and Music Center
Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2 PM EST – 4 PM EST
Price: Free · Duration: 2 hr

Lourdes loves being big. She is different than everyone around her and that’s just fine. One morning, her friends tease her when she comes to school drenched from the rain. Their words hurt. They make her feel small, so small that she shrinks and shrinks and . . . no one can find her.
Will Lourdes ever be big again? Will she ever feel good about being different?
Join author Laura Kepner and illustrator Jennifer Tombuelt. Laura will read the book and Jennifer will discuss her inspiration for the art. Bring the kids!
Please wear your mask even though this is an outdoor event.

Books are $20 each

You've never heard violin like this!
The world's premier visionary violinist, Dixon's life mission is to inspire people - and he has done so across North America, including giving three TED talks/performances, over ten years at Burning Man, plus radio, TV, and film appearances.  A former technology leader and symphony violinist, Dixon walked away from a distinguished career to follow his dream full-time, and invented a whole new music genre.  Dixon now improvises on a 5-string electric violin with a looping system he developed to create an all-live one-man symphony, guided by his remarkable personal story of life transformation.

Charlie Mars in Concert
Friday JAnuary 29, 2021
doors 7pm / show 730pm
$20 in Advance/$25 at the door if available

Charlie Mars has been a journeyman artist with all the ups and downs that entails, from major label releases and high profile gigs opening for the likes of REM, KT Tunstall, Citizen Cope, Steve Earle, among others, from uncertainty to redemption. Now, with the extraordinary new Blackberry Light, the Mississippi-based troubadour builds upon the distinctive musical approach first mined on his 2009 breakthrough Like A Bird, Like A Plane, employing supple grooves and ambient Daniel Lanois-inspired production to enhance the elemental force of his classic songwriting influenced by the likes of Bob Marley, Bill Withers and Dire Straits. From the dreamlike, “Nothing But The Rain,” to the shimmering “Picture of an Island,” the album sees Mars delving deep within to offer insight and a path to self awareness and ultimately transcendence via a gracefully beatific distillation of folk, rock, and smooth acoustic soul.

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a whiskey & beer drinking, fishing & hunting loving, motorcycle riding, quality food eating, hippie sympathizing, people loving, husband & father who lives in Minneapolis and shares a life with my amazing wife and two adorable sons named Oak and Alder. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, MI, and moved to Minneapolis when I was 18 to study music, and I stayed because I’m one of those crazy people that enjoys the snow and cold weather.

Music is my trade & performing it for people is my passion. When I’m not in my studio writing songs and cutting records, or on the road playing shows, I’m usually tending to our backyard chickens, eating fresh veggies from my wife’s huge garden, making syrup from our city maples, or doing one of my many outdoor hobbies.

Now here are a few things about my music career that I should probably share in a music bio:

• In September 2014 Budweiser released their "Friends Are Waiting" commercial campaign featuring me singing my song When You Come Home and it premiered during the Super Bowl.

• In February, 2018, I released my newest album 25 Years and is the most prolific and widely distributed album to date, featuring songs that have been placed in major ads as well as widely played Spotify playlists.

• In October, 2018, Miller Lite featured my newest single “So Good” in one of their commercials that played for months during NFL games on ESPN & more.

• In March, 2019, my song “You Feel Like Home” was featured in Explore Minnesota Tourism’s newest ad campaign.

• Over the years I’ve had the honor of sharing the stage with some really cool artists & bands including The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Eric Hutchinson, Matt Nathanson, NeedtoBreathe, Augustana, Tyrone Wells, Haley Reinhart, John McLaughlin, Will Hoge, Drew Holcomb, Sister Hazel, and more.

- International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion 2017
- Featured Coverage in Guitar Player Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Mag, The Art of LA, Guitar World, Vintage Guitar, Premier Guitar

- Nominated in 2016 Posi Awards, “Songs for Personal Transformation”
- International Tours in US, Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia

Symphonic compositions flow from her fingertips effortlessly, with sound ranging from transcendental folk-pop to virtuosic instrumentals. Christie is often described as ‘Michael Hedges meets Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews,” an integration melodic pop lyricism with catchy hooks and percussive, harmonic textures. Her first place victory in the acclaimed 2017 International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship has earned her featured coverage in Guitar Player Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and Premier Guitar. An Official Showcase Artist at Folk Alliance International and a number of major festivals, events, opera houses and theaters nationwide, Christie Lenée performs with radiant joy that awes crowds and inspires fellow musicians.

Christie’s unique guitar work and profound instrumental compositions are well described as 'Michael Hedges meets Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews'. Her niche is the integration of melodic pop lyricism with catchy hooks that excite both modern commercial listeners and classic purists.

Christie Lenée is a captivating performer with a devoted following among instrumental, folk-pop and rock band audiences. Combining guitar mastery, contemporary singer/songwriter and a passion for storytelling, she thrives on bringing people together through the language of music.

With a menu of percussive and sonic effects, and larger than life sounding instruments, her solo shows embody layers of orchestral elements with a wide array of dynamics and harmonic textures.

Christie’s pieces have been showcased across the world and in Nashville, live on National Television and Radio, and on stage with artists; Tim Reynolds (guitarist for Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Amy Ray from the Indigo Girls, and Stanley Jordan to name a few. Her most recent album “STAY” was one of three finalists for “Best CD of 2016” (Indie Acoustic Project Awards), including the song “Love Who You Are” nominated for a 2016 Posi Award in the category “Songs for Personal Transformation.”Christie spent most of 2017 on tour in the US, Australia, and many countries around Asia. She’s now back in the studio recording new songs, intentionally crafted to weave her compositional guitar wizardry with folk-pop lyricism and ever exceeding vocal performances. The first three singles on deck, “Free World Citizen,” “Call My Heart Back Home” and “Dear Julia” also include musical contributions by the acclaimed bassist/musical prodigy Tal Wilkenfeld (Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea), and world-renowned drummer/percussionist Allison Miller (Ani Difranco, Brandi Carlile, Natalie Merchant).

The Currys have been staking their claim within the Americana music scene since 2013, when vocalist/guitarist Tommy Curry quit his teaching job and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, to join the harmony-based folk-rock outfit newly formed by brother Jimmy Curry (vocals, guitar) and cousin Galen Curry (vocals, bass). The band, who cut their teeth playing the oyster bars and listening rooms of the Florida Panhandle, has since written and released two full-length albums: their studio debut Follow (2014), called “eye-opening, but warmly familiar” by Earmilk, and whose title track is “one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard” (Todd Moe of NCPR); and sophomore effort West of Here (2016), with its “tight-as-a-rubber-band” harmonies and “infectious” songwriting (PopMatters).

For their third album, This Side of the Glass (2019), The Currys teamed up with producer/guitarist Sam Whedon and engineer Stewart Myers (Jason Mraz, Parachute) to map new terrain. As ever, the band’s three-part family harmonies provide the organic, lived-in feel of roots music, but the album aspires to a greater variety of form and orchestration than earlier releases. The songs defy any neat categorization: the country nostalgia of “Gulf Coast Home” complements the folk-pop sensibility of “Pin You Down,” while the guitars and gang vocals of “Soon Enough” pay unmistakable homage to Paul Simon’s “Graceland.”

Lyrically, This Side of the Glass explores questions of perspective, an apt consideration for a band featuring three songwriters. Each Curry offers his take on the time-worn threads of life and love, contributing to the album’s tapestry of introspection and social commentary. Likewise, each in turn ruminates on the paradox faced by every performing songwriter: how to balance one’s roles as both the author of stories and the object of storytelling. This Side of the Glass is an insightful and satisfying new chapter from a band with many more stories to tell.

$20 in advance-no walkups- bring your own chair--Covid Rules Apply
There's a certain kind of music that carries with it an honesty, a sense of what's true, the pared back wisdom of a life on the road. Connor's sound embodies that raw Southern sincerity; he's got a big voice, writes big harmonies, and his catchy songs express a laid-back storytelling of the places he's been, and the things that he's seen. And he's been all over the place - in both his life and his music, and having grown up across Asia, Europe, and North America Connor now calls Nashville, Tennessee home. Starting out in folk, then rap, and citing influences as diverse as Elton John, The Band, Sam Cooke, and The Eagles, his sound is a melting pot of rock, soul, and country. When he's not playing with a band he's playing anything from piano and guitar to mandolin, or taking to the stage with a kick drum and a loop station.

Connor has spent the best part of a decade as frontman of country/rock outfit The Southern Gothic, headlining across the country, as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band and Uncle Kracker. The group has seen much success in recent years, including being named Billboard's 2014 "Band on the Verge", 2015 GA Entertainer of the Year, Creative Loafing's 2015 "Best Country Band", and spending four weeks at #1 on CMT Pure with their video for Sheets Down. Having released three albums during his time with The Southern Gothic, his forthcoming album Skeletons, due for release in August, is his first solo project as Connor, and is set to be a ride through the open roads of unique warmth and laid-back grit of his sound.

Paper or Plastic...Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose?

The now familiar question... paper or plastic? is not subject to a simple single syllable answer. The correct answer is, “it depends”. What if one or the other costs more money, or uses more nonrenewable energy, or causes uneven employment opportunities, or environmental impacts? The “best” alternative often is not the best within each of these frames of reference.

Like “paper or plastic?” the question about Recycle, Reuse or Repurpose has much the same answer...it depends. Each of these alternative strategies requires expenditures of resources. They require different expenditures of money. They have differing social consequences (jobs). And they each have different environmental impacts. Decisions regarding RRR need to be made from a whole systems perspective where the benefits within each frame of reference are weighed against the costs.

We might also apply the same perspective to renewable energy sources (solar, wind, etc.). It is often assumed that renewable energy trumps everything... “If it is renewable its got to be good”. But not always so...renewable energy sources are not always the silver bullet many think they are.

In the best of all worlds decisions about renewable energy and recycle options need to include not only economic costs and benefits, but environmental, energetic, and social costs and benefits as well. In this talk we will explore how to combine these various costs and benefits within a single framework to ultimately make better decisions regarding renew-ability, recycle-ability, reuse-ability, and repurpose-ability.

What is “Green” Design
Design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment and occupants in five broad areas:
· Sustainable site planning· Safeguarding water and water use efficiency
· Energy efficiency and renewable energy· Conservation of materials and resources
· Indoor environmental quality

Making a Difference
In 2003, the City of Tallahassee decided to expand and completely renovate its 30-year old Solid Waste Services operations and administration building adding a second floor and vertical circulation.  During initial planning it was decided that the renovated building should set a standard for environmentally responsible design and building practices.  To this end, it was decided to pursue United States Green Building Coalition (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED® ) Green Building (GB) certification.

Project Goals
•Create Healthy internal working environments for our employees.

•Reduce the negative impact on the external environment.
•Serve as a prototype for all future buildings and as a model to private/public

Re-cycle, Re-purpose and Design Thinking

CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING IN A CLIMATE CHANGING ERA

We need to adjust, prioritize, experiment and get sensitive to our tiny blue dot.

Rethinking the precepts of the organic school of thought and applying them to our contemporary post-industrial landscape by Design thinking, recycling, re-purposing and the benefits that these ideas have on society. Since, built environments  after all should be the quest for harmony between human beings and their regional climate.

"Our goal is to raise awareness to the importance of specific topics and activate people's interest, hopefully by showing how fun, easy and beneficial it can be to be more environmentally conscious"

IDEAS should be complex not complicated. We need to embrace the complexity, and the difficult and sometimes painful feedback that comes along with it.
The result is inclusion in it's fullest capacity, embracing innovative, community driven solutions

Workshops related to casting recycled materials into building components will be offered in the afternoon on both days led by Grant V. Genova, Architect of SHAMc.

“Stirring vocals…from a promising new band.” – C-Ville Weekly

“…toothsome and satisfying…” – Popshifter on West of Here

“It’s is almost impossible not to be moved, physically and metaphorically, by the gorgeously composed tracks on this album.” – Wordkrapht on Follow

The result is inclusion in it's fullest capacity, embracing innovative, community driven solutions

no food truck tonight Sorry

With his fiery guitar and lap steel playing, his trailblazing, instantly memorable songs and gritty, unvarnished vocals, Selwyn Birchwood is among the most extraordinary young stars in the blues. His deep familiarity with blues tradition allows him to bust the genre wide open, adding new sounds, colors and textures, all delivered with a revival tent preacher's fervor and a natural storyteller's charisma. Since the 2014 release of his Alligator Records debut, Don't Call No Ambulance, Birchwood's meteoric rise from playing small Florida clubs to headlining international festival stages is nothing short of phenomenal, as he continues to set the contemporary blues world on fire. The album received the Blues Music Award and Living Blues Critics' Award for Best Debut Album Of 2014, and he won the 2015 Blues Blast Rising Star Award. Selwyn and his band have crisscrossed the U.S. and Europe repeatedly, delivering unforgettable live performances. With his new album, Pick Your Poison, Birchwood, along with his band—saxophonist Regi Oliver, bassist Huff Wright and drummer Courtney "Big Love" Girlie—takes a major step forward, crafting visionary blues for a new generation of forward-looking fans.

Birchwood, who attacks his guitar and lap steel with searing intensity, wrote and produced all 13 songs on Pick Your Poison. His richly detailed, hard-hitting originals run the emotional gamut from the humorously personal "My Whiskey Loves My Ex" to the gospel-inflected "Even The Saved Need Saving" to the hard truths of the topical "Corporate Drone" and "Police State" to the existential choice of the title track. The cutting-edge songs are made all the more impactful by Birchwood's gruff vocals, his untamed musicianship and his band's seemingly telepathic accompaniment. "I write and sing what I know," says Birchwood, whose innovations are as expansive as his influences. "This album has a broad reach. It's for young, old and everyone in between."

Food truck will be on location!!

I didn’t grow up singing or playing music. I’ve never had voice lessons, and it wasn’t until after college that I started teaching myself how to play guitar. So, if you’d told me then that I’d end up making a living as a singer-songwriter, I wouldn't have believed you. Even now, with the upcoming release of my fifth studio album, Morning Light, I can barely believe it.
I hadn’t seriously considered pursuing a career in music until May 9, 2007, when I walked off stage after opening for John Legend. One set, six songs in just thirty minutes, changed my life forever. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to play with artists like Heart, Brandi Carlile, Gavin DeGraw, James Blunt, Grace Potter, Goo Goo Dolls, as well as tour Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, performing for our men and women in uniform stationed overseas.
Music has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Without music, I may have never met the two greatest loves of my life, my wife, Mandy, and my daughter, Annabelle Rose Baker. So, I see my songs as a celebration of every right turn and wrong turn that has led me here, and not a day goes by that I don’t give thanks for that old wood box with six strings.
Along with my life in music, I’m also an Emmy Award winning writer and host of the national PBS travel series Tennessee Valley Uncharted, which showcases the beauty, culture, and adventure across the Southeast. Music has not only allowed me to see the world, but more importantly, it has shown me the beauty and importance of home. Now, after years of touring and seeing life pass by through a windshield, I’m getting the opportunity, as the host of Tennessee Valley Uncharted, to rediscover how great the Tennessee Valley is and why I’m so proud to call it my home. Multi-Instrumentalist and Singer-Songwriter Darrell Scott mines and cultivates the everyday moment, taking the rote, menial, mundane, and allowing it to be surreal, ever poignant, and candidly honest, lilting, blooming, and resonating.  The words he fosters allow us to make sense of the world, what is at stake here, and our place in it. And ultimately, Darrell knows the sole truth of life is that love is all that matters, that we don’t always get it right, but that’s the instinctive and requisite circuitous allure of things, why we forever chase it, and why it is held sacred.
Darrell Scott comes from a musical family with a father who had him smitten with guitars by the age of 4, alongside a brother who played Jerry Reed style as well.  From there, things only ramped up with literature and poetry endeavors while a student at Tufts University, along with playing his way through life.  This would never change.
After recently touring with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band (2 years with each), and producing albums for Malcolm Holcomb and Guy Clark and being named “songwriter of the year” for both ASCAP and NSAI, these days find him roaming his Tennessee wilderness acreage hiking along the small river, creating delicious meals with food raised on his property and playing music.  He often leads songwriting workshops to help people tell their own truths with their stories, and is as busy as always writing, producing, performing, and just plain fully immersing himself in life..

Career Highlights:
Grammy Nomination for Best Country Song – “Long Time Gone” Dixie Chicks 2003
Grammy Nomination for Best Country Instrumental Performance – “The Second Mouse” 2001
Americana 2007 Song of the Year – “Hank Williams’ Ghost”
Rolling Stone Magazine listed Theatre of the Unheard as one of the 2003 Critics Top Albums
ASCAP Songwriter of the Year 2002
NSAI Songwriter of the Year 2001
Songs recorded by over 70 artists including: Dixie Chicks, Keb Mo, Faith Hill, Guy Clark, Sam Bush, Maura O’Connell, Kathy Mattea, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw …
Recorded With: Steve Earle, Kate Rusby, Joan Baez, Jim Lauderdale, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Jon Pousette-Dart, Ginny Hawker, Malcolm Holcombe, John McCusker, Allison Moorer, Jessie Alexander, Randy Travis…
Production: Guy Clark, Susan Werner, Wayne Scott

Opening Act--Joshua Reilly is a singer and songwriter currently based in the Tampa Bay area. His Midwest roots shine through in his writing which is best described as a fresh take on the Americana genre. His live performances featuring songs from his 2017 release, ‘Mercy on the Strange’ continue to captivate audiences in central Florida and beyond.

Have Gun, Will Travel in Concert
with

 Opening act Will Quinlan
Friday February 21, 2020
Door 7pm /Show 730pm        $10 in Advance

Florida’s Have Gun, Will Travel return with their first new album in four years. Strange Chemistry is the sound of a band with a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Following in the footsteps of fellow Florida rockers Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, while simultaneously paying tribute to their early indie-rock influences, HGWT set out to make the quintessential American rock album. Singer-guitarist Matt Burke and fellow bandmates; brother and bassist Daniel Burke, guitarist Scott Anderson, drummer JP Beaubien, and keyboardist Edward Stork; along with help on several songs from good friend Garrett Klahn (Texas Is The Reason), deliver their most personal and emotionally resonant album to date.

Much like the characters in the 1986 film Stand By Me; the original inspiration for the Have Gun, Will Travel moniker; the members of this Florida indie rock outfit are on a life-defining journey. A journey filled with ups and downs; victories and defeats; moments of despair and redemption. Following the release of Science from an Easy Chair, HGWT’s epic concept album about a British explorer’s ill-fated Antarctic expedition, they encountered troubled waters of their own. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Matt Burke found himself in the hospital, questioning whether or not he would be able to continue with the band. Burke’s life-long struggle with anxiety disorder had come to a head and put him in the emergency room three times within a twelve-month period.

After a full US tour in support of Science…, the band members took some time off to deal with personal matters, then collectively made the decision to carry on. Feeling creatively exhausted from the last album, they took a full year off from creating any new music. When the inspiration returned, however, the pendulum had swung in the opposite direction. Instead of narrative stories about historical figures and events, Burke began writing personal, introspective songs. Songs dealing with anxiety, doubt and indecision. Songs about internal conflict and the duality of man. Songs about fear, frustration, perseverance and victory over adversity. Strange Chemistry is the product of HGWT’s determination and commitment to each other and to the music.

Will Quinlan is opening act for Have Gun, Will Travel
BIO:
Texas native son (San Antonio) and Tampa area resident singer/songwriter Will Quinlan has been plying his unique blend of Folk/Americana throughout the southeast for many years now, generating a deep reserve of respect and admiration amongst fans, peers and promoters alike.

Combining a slightly rough hewn yet genuinely moving sonic aesthetic and delivery with deeply personal and emotionally evocative lyrics, Will has earnestly traversed a long artistic road since first hearing the undeniable call in the sounds of the late 60's/early 70's Folk/Rock scene specifically characterized by the profound impact Jackson Browne, Gram Parsons, Townes Van Zandt and Neil Young had on his nascent teenage attempts at writing.
"Will is currently working on several projects both solo and with his bands. The Holy Slow Train and The Vesper Bell, with a steady stream of single releases slated for the coming spring with full LP's to follow later in the year."
PRESS:
"...one of the best alt-country/folk/americana acts we've seen in a long while. Quinlan's gallop is characterized by lovingly gruff detail and elegant restraint...a well-bred affair that echoes almost every great artist that defines the genre."  - Orlando Weekly

"Will Quinlan is living proof there is still life left in the alt-country universe...Quinlan balances grit and grace with passion and poetry resulting in a tension that makes the songs live and breathe."  - MetroMix

"WIll Quinlan turns raw emotion into folk/rock poetry on "Navasota", an album with songs that are easily on par with the best of the Americana genre. Moving deftly from gritty and sorrowful, to angry and ultimately triumphant, Quinlan's earnest labors provide proof that real life always sounds better with loud guitars."  - WIll Quinlan and The Diviners "Navasota" album review, Curtis Ross in Tampa Bay Times.

"Blessed with a voice the near twin of Farrar's, Quinlan, subtle and moving,
devastatingly delivers four chords and the truth."  - Americana/UK

You might think that after 50 years, a band would want to settle down and just relax.
If you do, you don’t know the Q!
“NRBQ remains impressively vibrant and cheerfully committed,
and indeed embody the idea that rock 'n' roll can be a fountain of youth.” —New London Day
In 2016, NRBQ’s 5-disc, 50-year retrospective High Noon landed on Top Picks lists in Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Goldmine, and more.
Fifty years of celebrating is worth celebrating! Come celebrate with us.
NRBQ is Terry Adams, Scott Ligon, Casey McDonough, and John Perrin.
“NRBQ” stands for New Rhythm and Blues Quartet. The band’s music, a rollicking blend of everything from stomping rockabilly to Beatles-influenced pop to Thelonious Monk-inspired jazz.

The Southern Gothic in Concert
(Connor Christian, Spirko and Shawn Thacker)
Sat - Jan 11, 2020
Doors 7pm/Show 730pm
$15 in Adv/$20 at the Door

Since 2007, The Southern Gothic original members Connor (lead vox/ guitar/ piano), Spirko (fiddle/ guitar/ piano/ vocals) and Shawn Thacker (drums) have been bringing their unique brand of sun-baked, road-worn country, southern rock & soul to countless stages and fans across the US.  Currently based in Nashville, TN, ’SoGo’ has shared stages with such artists as Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Big & Rich, Zac Brown Band, Styx, Uncle Kracker, Corey Smith, Gloriana, ZZ Top, Heart and more.  The diverse nature of the artists with whom they’ve toured reflects the diversity of the band’s sound.  “It works,” says Connor in regard to the varying nature of the audiences.  “We’ve played to country crowds, rock crowds, young crowds, old crowds.  We’ve played to jam band audiences and we’ve played bluegrass festivals.  The response with all of them has been fantastic.”

Fantastic enough for Billboard Magazine to notice. TSG was named “Artist on the Verge” in Billboard’s Best Bets after debuting #1 on its Heat Seekers List. 2013 saw the band’s hit single “Sheets Down” stay on the fan-voted CMT Pure Countdown for 4 weeks, resulting in 60k views on YouTube. The band used this momentum to play hundreds of shows over thousands of miles in the next few years, perfecting their high-energy live show and growing their loyal fan base.
Locked and loaded for 2020, The Southern Gothic will hit the ground running with a highly anticipated new EP, 'Burning Moonlight',  a revamped live show, and Winter tour coming to a stage near you!

Freddy and Francine began in early 2008 Shortly after meeting as cast members of a 2008 Hollywood Met Theatre production of "HAiR", Bianca Caruso and Lee Ferris teamed up to embark upon what would become a series of late night songwriting sessions. Early on, the two musicians instated a rule; as Ferris explains, “We would never leave a session without completing a song.” Because of this dedication, in just two years’ time, Caruso and Ferris co-wrote more than thirty songs, and with the help of drummer Christopher Allis and bassist John Classick, they took to the studio to record Freddy & Francine's self-titled EP (November 2008) as well as two full length albums, The Briar Patch (April 2009) and The Forest & the Sea (due out in November 2010).

Though the songs created from these late night writing sessions were originally intended for the duo’s respective solo performances, it became abundantly clear that these co-creations should be performed in tandem. On the credit of both of their choral backgrounds and Caruso’s experience as a background singer for Idina Menzel, the two naturally fused their voices into one, creating the effect of a single lead voice comprised of swelling, soulful harmonies and melodies.

In the past two and a half years, Freddy & Francine have become regulars on the Los Angeles live circuit, building a following through word-of-mouth with regular gigs at “listening rooms” such as The Hotel Café, Vermont Restaurant and McCabe's Guitar Shop. Additionally, a feature of their song "Brownstone Alley" as TOP TUNE on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, as well as in-store appearances at the Santa Monica Apple Store, have helped to bolster the group’s iTunes sales for their previously released EP and The Briar Patch. In August 2010, Freddy & Francine played Koffeehouse Production's 3rd Annual Evening of Independence at Los Angeles’ Ford Amphitheatre, closing the set with Katherine McPhee and Sixpence None the Richer.

Tellabration : A Celebration of Storytelling
7-9pm November 23, 2019
doors open at 630pm- $5 suggested donation at the door

Welcome to TELLABRATION!™, a night of storytelling celebrated worldwide on or about the third Saturday in November.
Storytelling enthusiasts all around the globe will share their talents in concerts held in cities and towns to celebrate the art of storytelling. Locally, TELLABRATION!™ brings together the regions most celebrated storytellers, to delight, captivate, and mesmerize audiences with their stories. It creates a network of storytelling enthusiasts bonded together in spirit at the same time and on the same weekend.

TELLABRATION!™ originator J. G. Pinkerton envisioned this international event as a means of building community support for storytelling. In 1988 the event was launched by the Connecticut Storytelling Center in six locations across the state. A great success, TELLABRATION!™ extended to several other states the following year, and then, in 1990, expanded nationwide under the umbrella of the National Storytelling Network
(then called NAPPS, and later the National Storytelling Association).

In 1995, for the first time, there was a TELLABRATION!™ in Japan, brought there by Japanese storyteller Masako Sueyoshi, who had been a part of TELLABRATION!™ when she lived in Connecticut for several years. By 1997, there were TELLABRATION!™ events on every continent but Antarctica. (Anyone know any good penguin storytellers?)
TELLABRATION!™ is traditionally held on the third Saturday in November. Some events, however, may be at an alternate time during the same weekend..

A Welcome to all from TELLABRATION!™ founder J. G. Pinkerton

In 1988, I dreamed of having a night each year when storytellers in each community got together and told stories to their families and friends.
I called the idea TELLABRATION!™
Friends of storytelling liked the idea and began making it happen. Each year the circle of friends has grown and now TELLABRATION!™ happens all across America as well as in other lands.
I am only the man who had the idea… it is the friends of storytelling who have made the event a success.
Hundreds of tellers telling to thousands of people.
May what the tellers share bring joy to many people and may the listeners come to know that…through storytelling, we can draw closer together in peace… and in friendship… and in love.
Storytelling reaches around the world and across all generations… reminding us of our common humanity. I know storytelling creates experiences… and … shared experiences are the basis of all relationships. My best wishes go with all who join in this common endeavor.
an arrat of storytellers will be presenting throughout the evening

Presenters at this years event include

THE RECTIFIERS-SHAUN HOPPER/JKLEIN/CHRIS BARBOSA
NOVEMBER 16, 2019
$15ADV/$20 AT THE DOOR
730PM DOOR/SHOW 8PM

Shaun Hopper is at first glance an unassuming presence, a true southern gentleman whose humility stands in stark contrast to the prodigious talents he unveils on stage. An unparalleled master of the fret-board. Merging complex melodies, harmonies and bass lines along with a one-of-a-kind mix of percussive elements, he captivates everyone within earshot. Whether his listeners are guitar enthusiasts or not matters little, within a few seconds they soon realize that they are listening to a true virtuoso. Hopper's original compositions and arrangements of pop tunes are infused with all the cutting edge techniques and flavorings embraced by the new breed of You-Tube sensations, including influences like Adam Rafferty, Andy McKee and Don Ross. Yet, it is his traditional and schooled "approach" to music which keeps him unquestionably steeped in, and inspired by, the greats. Influences include guitar legends; Chet Atkins, Andres Segovia, Tommy Emmanuel, George Benson, Michael Hedges, Martin Taylor, Buster B. Jones, Pete Huttlinger and Leo Kottke, just to name a few. The final result is a signature style which crosses over the full range of musical genres; Folk, Classical, Celtic, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues and Percussive-New Age.

Chris Barbosa is a dynamic instrumentalist from the Tampa Bay Region
who has performed in many bands, orchestras, television shows
, competitions, and venues across Florida and nationally. He taught himself piano at age 10 and continued to learn the viola and violin throughout his schooling years. He eventually attended Florida State University majoring in Music Performance. Chris has a natural ability to improvise and a strong empathic power of expressing his musicality while continuing to strive further for virtuosity and depth.

J. Klein is a singer songwriter from banks of the banks of the Mississippi. Great grandson of Paul Turner and the Green Valley Ranch Hands. He has a sound steeped in blues, folk, country and rock. Cutting his teeth in dive bars from Chicago to Memphis. He has graced the stage with acts such as Kenny Loggins, The Blue Sky Riders, Tim Reynolds, Martin Sexton, John Hiatt and many more. Klein’s soul infused vocals and clean rhythm guitar creates a melodic experience that embodies Americana.

Donation requested at door $10  to RSVP call 727-725-4018  walkups welcome
iEzra is a the project of Ezra Huleatt (Black Taxi) that see's him exploring a new musical space. His latest album---Digital Downpour---is full of songs that are both anthemic and intimate and mirror the movement of their production: sketches written in the deserts of New Mexico, fleshed out in Montauk basement sessions, and then recorded over a few months between NYC, Telluride and Tulum. The lyrics speak to the technologification of humanity, our stumble into a future of faster and better, the poetry of loss, of rage and optimism. The sound is an urban underbelly---gritty brass sections, electricity, sweeping strings---juxtaposed with a call to the wild, a whispered plea building to a disco tent revival, a mind caught between love and pain propped up on a heartbeat that refuses to go quietly.

Victoria Vox in Concert   Sunday Nov 3, 2019
$20 in Advance/ $25 at the Door
Doors open 700pm/ Show 730pm

- the one woman band
With a passion for songwriting, Victoria Vox began writing songs when she was ten. She furthered her music education at the Berklee College of Music, as a vocal principle with an emphasis in Songwriting. A few years after graduating, Vox took up the ukulele. Her music style shifted to chanson tinged with jazz, which, over the years, has settled in nicely with her pop songwriting flair.  She loves to make an audience laugh...and cry. Her songs are genuine, sometimes quirky, spanning a wide array of emotions.
Performing as a solo artist has inspired her rhythmic ukulele playing style (creating her own back-beat). She has also perfected an old jazz-era vocal technique of the "Mouth Trumpet", under the influence of trumpet icon, Chet Baker. The Mouth-Trumpet enables her to take vocal improvisational solos without scatting or using words. Depending on the setting, she pairs the rhythmic uke and mouth trumpet with her electronic-looping skills (to create ostinato bass lines and harmonies) while creating a full sound, atypical to the stereotype of "ukulele music".
Her 10th album, Colorful Heart, is consistently eclectic, as her previous albums, however, a new sound is achieved in her songwriting. Anything is possible with a ukulele, and Victoria Vox is proof.

Collaborating across multiple genres ranging from Roots-Rock and Pop to Hip Hop and Electronic Dance Music, classifying Daphne Willis in musical terms is no easy task. With infectious melodies delivered with lyrical precision and honesty, the songs and performances of Daphne Willis are sincere, compelling and relevant.

Raised in Chicago, Daphne now calls Nashville, TN home and cites influences as varied as Elvis Costello and Michael Jackson, but her musical output cleverly incorporates such inspirations into a style that is refreshing and contemporary in a way that suits her songs best.
With over 1,000 shows under her belt over the past several years, Daphne has been spreading her music to passionate fans across the United States. Her infectious personality combined with her incredible talent caught the eyes and ears of Sony/ATV Music Publishing in early 2016 who quickly signed Daphne to a worldwide publishing agreement. This partnership has resulted in several of her songs being recorded by other artists and used in Commercial, Film and TV productions such as One Tree Hill, Empire and a Microsoft Ad Campaign.

Languid guitar chords give way to Tessmer’s gloomy assessment of his past life: “Seems like every day’s the same/ I want everything but me to change/ I don’t want to be the way I am.” Tessmer finally finished the song and achieved his sonic vision with the help of multiplatinum producer Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson). “Good So Bad” is a radical departure from the guitarist’s earliest recordingsbonedry live performances showcasing the sixstring wizardry that first earned him attention when he crashlanded in Austin 15 years ago. Tessmer still flexes his furious fretwork on “Good So Bad,” but the song’s slinky hooks come from a different instrument: his voice. “Sean got the best vocal performances because he was like, ‘Don’t do anything to your voice; just relax and sing the song,” Tessmer says. The starkly confessional tone of “Good So Bad” also shows how far he’s come as a lyricist. “It got me thinking about being the elephant in the room,” Tessmer says. “Oh gosh, why am I always drunk all the time? I’m just a musician. That’s just what we do. But no, it’s not, really.” The mournful, stuckinarut Tessmer of “Good So Bad’ is far removed from the reallife Tessmer, whose sobriety lent him a newfound clarity while writing. “I wasn’t hiding behind anything.” Life hurts, sure, but sometimes it does work out as long as you’re willing to show up and put in the work to get the results. Eric Tessmer wanted to be good so bad. This is his journey.

"Her extraordinary voice truly sets the music apart…nothing short of stunning" NO DEPRESSION MAGAZINE
“A voice the whole world needs to hear” SHAWN MULLINS
“[Callaghan is] changing the shape touring, if not music consumption entirely” BILLBOARD MAGAZINE

Originally from the UK, Callaghan moved to the USA in 2010 to tour and record with Grammy-nominated US artist Shawn Mullins. Playing piano and guitar Callaghan delivers a stunning vocal which earns frequent comparisons with artists like Sarah McLachlan and Emmylou Harris. Her songwriting chronicles the stories, experiences and emotions which are part of everyone’s lives.
After spending 4 years in Nashville recording her second studio album A History Of Now, the latest chapter of Callaghan's journey has taken her to LA to record self-titled album Callaghan to be released August 31st.

Performance art Painter from Japan
What do you get when you mix together one large canvas, bottles of paint, music with throbbing beats, street dance, and caricature drawings?
The resulting performance defies all definitions so we have no other choice but to call it “Colorhythm”. Coming to the HYPER Theatre stage this summer, it is the brainchild of “Colorhythm Risa”, a talented Japanese artist.
Watch seemingly random lines of paint take form and come to life before your very eyes on a 3 meter-long, superlarge canvas as Risa whirls around the stage, effortlessly pulling off fluid street-dance moves while painting. She’ll also be doing some caricatures while she’s at it, so raise your hand!
Colorhythm Risa began her art-dance performances in 2012 – first as part of a group then later on as a solo act. Her performances, both in name and in style, are a portmanteau of “colour” and “rhythm” and have won her accolades and even an award at a 2014 art competition. Her HYPER JAPAN Festival 2016 performances will mark her UK debut.

EDIE CAREY opens for Gareth Asher
Colorado-based singer-songwriter Edie Carey is known for her unmistakable, soulful voice, her intelligent, heart-grabbing songs, but perhaps most especially for her warm, engaging presence on – and off – stage. As much a part of her show as the music itself, Carey’s wry and often self-mocking humor makes audiences feel as though they have just spent an evening with a very close friend.Carey has been singing at festivals, colleges, and listening rooms across the US, Canada and Europe since 1999, performing alongside Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, and Shawn Colvin. She’s also been a featured artist on PRI’s Mountain Stage. She's appeared at the country's most prestigious folk festivals including Telluride Bluegrass, Rocky Mountain Folks, Newport Folk, 30A Songwriters, and Cayamo. Her songs have been covered by Shawn Mullins and country star Chely Wright. She released her 9th album, "Paper Rings: 8 love stories," in February 2016. Her prior release, a duo lullabies project with Sarah Sample, garnered several children's music awards, including Best Children’s Album in the 2015 Independent Music Awards.
CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: “Carey...found her true calling in music. Her pop-folk songs are smart tales of love, life and longing."
CREATIVE LOAFING: “Carey is a wonderfully expressive singer-songwriter who deftly balances wrenching musical vignettes with engaging stories and a friendly vibe.

Promoting new album “Defend the Flame”
With lyricism reflecting and celebrating the inner struggles we face through life’s smiles and tears, “Defend the Flame” reminds us to accept and release the emotions that can often feel insurmountable within us. This message is one that has no doubt been felt throughout much of his previous music, but with this album, Gareth lays himself bare in a way that he has not shared before. The honesty in the tone of these new and precious songs is one that will leave you feeling more connected to the self and perhaps a little lighter with the knowledge that you are not alone.
Welcoming Gareth Asher back to the harbor!  #SongFestFamily... he played 1st and 2nd years

KLIMCHAK
 SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 3,2019
 2PM TALK BEGINS
FOLLOWED BY A MUSICAL PERFORMANCE BY KLIMCHAK

Klimchak is a composer known for his use of electronics & homebuilt instruments. His work has been seen in dance, theater & solo performances around the world. In 2011, he was given a grant by Idea Capital to make a series of compositions for home-built percussion instruments with lights incorporated in them. They were performed in 2012/2013 as flash percussion performances, titled Klimchak’s Lebeato Lounge. In March, 2015, Klimchak premiered his solo show, CooksNotes, in which he makes music on kitchen implements while cooking dinner for the audience.

Klimchak regularly performs solo shows featuring the Don Buchla designed Marimba Lumina. Only about 100 of this very rare instrument were made. With the Marimba Lumina the percussionist is able to perform live music that would normally take at least 4 musicians. His multi-instrumental compositions are played with 4 separate mallets, six foot pedals and a breath controller. As added touches, his sets usually include 4 or 5 small percussion instruments, some chanting or tuvan throat singing and at least one solo on the theremin.

THE MUSICIANS

The Mystic Voices

- Laura Stack and Gloria Rice - are an acoustic folk duo with a knack for sweet & soulful vocal harmonies. Their voices blend with acoustic guitar and various percussion instruments to create and perform spiritual and heart-filled music. Their acoustic folk duo performs locally and internationally. Some of their recent performances include playing and presenting for the 43rd Annual SSF-IIIHS International Conference: Living the Divine Potential in Montreal, Canada in addition to playing for Spirit Fest at Camp Chesterfield in Indiana and The Jamboree Womyn’s Music Festival in Wimauma, Florida. They also conduct a monthly full moon sound healing at YogaLove studio right here in Safety Harbor. In addition, The Mystic Voices perform for weddings, memorial services and special events. Safety Harbor’s 3rd Friday and the St. Petersburg ArtWalk are some of their favorites.

The Mystic Voices make up the fruit of varying backgrounds and unique talents. Laura Stack has her background in music education and taught music in public schools for 13 years while receiving her Masters in Music Education and traveling as a national presenter. Laura has always been a life-long performer and her favorite role was playing Roxie in Chicago. Her first showcase as a songwriter was during her time as a Butler University undergraduate for their Fall Concert Series. Her songwriting passion and abilities have only continued to grow and become more and more aligned with her life’s purpose.

Bringing her own flare to the duo, Gloria Rice has her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, performed as an Orlando Opera Studio Artist and soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Gloria lived and performed in New York for almost a decade and graced the stage with artists such as Lorna Luft and Lillias White. She also played the role of Eva Peron in Eight O’Clock Theatre’s production of Evita.

Last year, Laura and Gloria came together as The Mystic Voices to share love and light in the world through music. It has been a wonderful adventure ever since! Their folky style, beautiful harmonies, and inspiring lyrics are a breath of fresh air to audiences. Hearing The Mystic Voices will likely make your heart smile!

Inside a Redwood tree off the coast of California; within a tunnel by Snoqualmie Pass; on an airstrip in Marble, Colorado; in a wild daisy field near Crested Butte—these are just a few of the places Los Angeles trio, Magic Giant, recorded its debut album, aptly titled, In the Wind.
Bio:

Coming off of a blazing set at Coachella, with Billboard singling them out as one of “10 Awesome Bands” playing this year’s massive fest, and LA Weekly calling them “Cool as Folk,” LA-based MAGIC GIANT has been thrilling growing crowds at every stop along its 70-city North American and European tour, celebrating the release of its debut album In The Wind (Concord Records) and its acoustic album counterpart.
With appearances on the Today Show and in Rolling Stone as one of “10 Artists You Need to Know,” the group has toured with acts ranging from The Revivalists to Mike Posner; played shows with bands such as The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, X Ambassadors, Vance Joy, and Foster the People; performed to thousands at festivals ranging from Firefly in Delaware to Electric Forest in Michigan; and was recently tapped as one of the bands to join headliner Bruno Mars at Bottlerock in Napa this spring.
DuJour has proclaimed Magic Giant “the most festive band in the festival circuit, quickly becoming a must-see.” Its style has been described by NPR as “upbeat, passionate indie-folk” and by Billboard as inspiring “mass dance-alongs.” Its initial single “Set on Fire” broke the top 25 on the US Alternative chart and top 5 on Spotify’s US Viral chart; its current single “Window” leaped into the Top 40 on Billboard’s Hot AC and Adult Pop charts; and the new acoustic album debuted in the iTunes Alternative top 25.
The trio, comprised of Austin (lead vocals), Zambricki (viola, banjo, harmonica), and Zang (acoustic guitar, cello) weaves together a musical quilt of alternative, pop, and folk on its LP, uniquely recorded from their solar-powered mobile recording studio while traveling throughout the US.

-Writing Funny
“How to make readers laugh, or at least, smile.”

Taught by Debbie Klein    Wednesday, October 24, 2018   7-9pm
$15 in advance -$20 at the door
What are you?  Some kinda wise guy?   You think you’re funny?
GOOD!
Debbie Klein will help to hone your creative writing skills. While she won’t promise you’ll get published and make a million bucks (although it’s probably more likely than winning the lottery or being struck by lightning) she will help you bring humor to your writing.
Debbie wrote a column for Tropical Breeze for three years. She wrote scripts for a Public Access TV show called Entertainment Notebook and she flunked out of a damned good college, which means she was accepted! The Tampa Bay Times has printed a few of her stories, and the family asked that she write something for Aunt Esther’s ninetieth birthday.  She is also completing a compilation of stories to be published by Chapter Two Press.
You must reserve a space prior to the class by registering through this link or making a payment in the amount of $15 at the Safety Harbor Art and Music Center by noon on the day of class. Walk-ins will be accepted at a cost of $20 as long as space is available.

FREEBO
rescheduling
 Doors 7pm   Concert 7:30pm
$20 in Advance/$25 at the Door

FREEBO is a genuine folk, rock and blues icon who, after over 40 years of recording and touring with many of the great artists of our time (Bonnie Raitt 10 years, CSN, Maria Muldaur, John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Neil Young, & many more) is regarded as one of the most gifted singer-songwriters of today. A multi award winner and finalist in numerous songwriting contests, Freebo was also recognized as the 'Best Folk Artist 2007' by the Los Angeles Music Awards. In addition, he has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Midnight Special, and in concert with the legendary Spinal Tap.
Freebo’s compassionate concern for the world and people around him, as evidenced both in his lyrics and his open stage banter, has helped him connect with listeners worldwide. He will take an audience from insights about what kind of positive mark we hope to leave on the world upon our own passing with “Standing Ovation” to where you stand with your pets and your partner with "She Loves My Dog More Than Me." A musical evening with Freebo will be astute, insightful, clever, and truly melodic.
Here's what critics are saying about Freebo:
"Freebo is more than one of LA's best players, he's also a richly gifted and distinctive songwriter, as expressive in his writing as on a bass" (Paul Zollo, Songwriters On Songwriting)
"Freebo's intimate and go-down-easy personable vocals tie in light-hearted fare, social commentary and spiritual quest with love-sweet-love, and make it sound seamless." (Janet Goodman, Music News Nashville)
"Standing Ovation is an astounding song which encompasses a profound view of life, destined to become a classic." (Russ Paris, Folkworks.org)
"Listening to Freebo is like riding on a cumulus cloud of peaceful awareness, a cosmic blend of folk/country/rock/soul ear-pleasing genre-defying music." (Walt Falconer, Cool Album Of The Day)
"Freebo sounds as if he's not really singing to you; he's talking to you. One of the best albums of the year." (John Shelton Ivany, jsitop21.com)

The Poetry Show comes to Safety Harbor
January 27, 2018
Doors open 6:30pm/show 7:00pm
Suggested $5.00 Donation at the door

What happens when we put poets in front of a band of experimental musicians? We don’t really know, but we’re going to find out.

The Poetry Show is a live improvised collaboration; we give poets the opportunity to perform their work with the support of a band of talented musical improvisers. The musicians react to the words, and the poets work with the rhythm of the music, resulting in a completely unique performance that can never be duplicated.

The musicians are led by percussionist Meghan McManus, who uses everything from flower pots and buckets of water and other objects, to synthesizers and vibraphones, to create improvised soundscapes to accompany the words.

8 poets (chosen by Ed Derkevics of SHAMc and Poetry Show creator Cole Bellamy) will perform at January 27, 6:30 p.m. at the Safety Harbor Arts and Music Center.

RICKY BOSCARINO the Mastermind behind the psychedelic wonderland
LUNA PARC
JANUARY 19 BOLDER Talk
Friday night 6:30-7

Sculptural Concrete Workshop Jan 20 Saturday 10-5
Jan 21 Sunday 10-5
2018

There is a long history of non-conforming construction known as ferro-cement. Basically it refers to any type of reinforcing steel, iron or other metal combined with traditional and modified concrete(cement)
Ricky Boscarino has created numerous sculptures both public and at his home Luna Parc using this method. It is also used in construction of shelters and homes to create sculpted living spaces.
Ricky has been inspired by the undulating roof lines of Gaudi of Barcelona as well as the eccentric imposing facades of Hundertwasser ( of Vienna and New Zealand).
In this two day workshop we will construct a sculptural electrified lamppost which will be a permanent fixture at SHAMC in Safety Harbor FL.
We'll work with Ricky and the founders of SHAMC on the piece using the ferro-cement method. You can be a part of  the process from beginning to completion.
The process can be difficult at times, cement, wire mesh and wire are somewhat stubborn materials so be prepared to work, have fun and be a part of this amazing experience. The result will be spectacular!
We ask for $10 per person per day for the experience.

KORBY LENKER LISTENING ROOM CONCERT
Saturday, January 20, 2018
Doors at 7pm, Concert at 7:30pm
$15 IN ADVANCE /$20 AT THE DOOR

Longtime East Nashville resident Korby Lenker returned to his native Idaho to record his 7th studio album Thousand Springs. Eschewing the standard recording studio, Lenker recorded his latest batch of songs in various places important to him as a child - the Snake River Canyon (see pic below), Craters of the Moon, and in a small cabin north of Sun Valley. Letting the natural landscape set the tone, he recorded during the day and slept in a tent at night. Then, after laying down the guitar and vocal tracks, Korby took to the road, adding more than 30 artists to his dozen songs, including Critter Eldridge, Anthony Da Costa, Carrie Elkin, Angel Snow, Amy Speace, Matt the Electrician, and many others.

Freedom to be happy, creative, efficient and effective, we all desire this... so Yoga Nidra, (known as yogic ‘sleep’), is a unique method that goes below the surface tensions to release and transform the sources of stress that lie dormant in our physical, mental and emotional bodies.
In this experiential workshop, we will discover a source of power and healing from within where transformation happens effortlessly and spontaneously.
In this workshop you learn what yoga Nidra is, what it isn’t and the benefits of a regular practice. Also, how to begin to:
  •   Dismantle and release emotional stress
  •   Accelerate self-healing
  •   Revitalize your health and well-being
  •   Tap into your natural agelessness
  •
What to bring: a yoga mat, small blanket, and optional: eye pillow/eye mask. * If you have back or neck pain while lying in shavasana, bring extra pillows to support neck or knees.

  • The cost is $30.00 in advance, $35.00 at the door. Please register in advance at www.shamc.org

Between Bluffs

A combination of Soul Roots and Jam. "An engaging mix of pop, folk and a lot of other things that shouldn't work together – like the ska beats that propel opener "Two Lovers." A heavy-handed approach would crush this quickly, but singer-songwriter Jerrod Simpson and his band mates have a light touch that lets the disparate elements ease into place." - Curtis Ross - Tampa Bay Online
